Read MoreMcAfee and NitroSecurity, a security information and event management (SIEM) solutions provider, fully agree on the terms of the future acquisition. With this move the buyer hopes to improve their enterprise services providing a better view of a company's entire network infrastructure.
“McAfee is focused on keeping its customers safe with optimized security and risk management solutions,” revealed McAfee's Stuart McClure in the official press release.
“McAfee has taken another significant step toward this goal with the proposed acquisition of NitroSecurity. With NitroSecurity’s technology and talent, McAfee can expand its reach into new markets, secure new platforms and strengthen its hold as the leader in the security risk management market.”
By combining the technologies each company masters the best, they're confident they can provide a security system that will allow users to assess their protection posture better and give them the chance to configure and implement new policies, all from a single central management console.
To obtain this result they plan on uniting the best elements from McAfee's ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) with NitroSecurity's SIEM management, the integration tests showing that the operation is possible.
