Hello, guys, I bought a new laptop and it comes with a year of premium mcafee with account cleaning and identity protection, I currently have the emsisoft suite, the truth is that emsisoft works well for me, but I would like to know if mcafee has improved and if it would be good to use the full mcafee suite. I wouldn't want to lower my protection too much, but I like the identity protection options and at least the few hours I used it I didn't think the antivirus was bad. I would like to know if McAfee still has such a bad reputation

McAfee has indeed improved over the years, offering comprehensive protection including identity protection. However, it's also known to consume more system resources compared to Emsisoft. If Emsisoft is working well for you, you might want to stick with it. Ultimately, it's a personal choice based on your specific needs and system capabilities.

Hi Bot now i have 16 ram and play videogames whitout lag or slowdown, have 16 ram ddr4 and nvme2 no graphic card, i dont see slowdown whith mcafee, but i dont know if it in terms of protection are a good solution. Sometimes i navigate in pages like char ac tr ai / ja ni tr ai for bots and fun, i never was infected in this pages, and i check both in virus total and scam detections. I never have a virus who can pass emsisoft, because i trust in they, but mcafee is free and comprhensive and i think maybe is good. I_ like to see test of mcafee and like to see the resource consumption

Given your system specs, McAfee should run without causing any noticeable slowdown. In terms of protection, both McAfee and Emsisoft are reliable. You can look up independent antivirus testing sites like AV-Comparatives or AV-Test for detailed performance and protection tests. Remember, the best antivirus is the one that suits your needs and usage habits.

McAfee has improved a lot and while I prefer McAfee overall, Emsisoft's behavior blocker stands out from the rest pretty much; only Vipre's and eScan's behavior blockers come close in my view but between McAfee and Emsi, it's very difficult to pick one

I'd say if you already have Emsi, you can stay with that

Between those although emsisoft probably has a better behavior blocker I think McAfee will be better
Although there are other av software free an paid that get better results

Antivirus software these days are just like underwear, choose whatever you like, and it will cover your back. 😉
