Hello everyone which one do you think is better overall? My vote goes to MCShield because of its amazing heuristics and removal.

in your case, you need none, you have Windows and Avast that protect your USB already.

but if i have to choose i will go for MC Shield.

I would need none either. EAM + NVT + HMPA is more than sufficient for USB, external drive.
I did try MC Shield. It's a nice little program. Light as feather.

I just checked. HMPA states "stops malicious USB devices that pose as a keyboard". So it appears it doesn't actually scan the USB like MCShield or Emsisoft do.

Don't think so too. Usually when I plug in USB, EIS would start scan. There would be no autorun (NVT blocks them).

I would choose McShield But if you use any anti-executable that you don't need any separate usb av and for me i m using Voodooshield and Voodooshield has a special Usb mode , when i insert a usb all autorun and exe are blocked from running.

@saket: Not totally abandoned, the program concept is already done where bugs and issues are not persist so daily updates for signatures still enforced until now.

Meanwhile in this case, go to McShield as it primarily focus on USB based threats where Bitdefender bypass some common autorun types viruses.
