The Australian Federal Police is investigating reports Australians' personal Medicare details are being accessed and sold on the dark web, an apparent breach that has been labelled an "internet catastrophe".

The Australian government cannot be trusted, period and not just for IT security. They fail at IT security in every way imaginable. I lived there for 3 years. I know exactly how bad it is. They invade your privacy in every way imaginable. There are no "warrants" they track and snoop on their citizens far worse then the USA does. They were nominated as the 10th insecure country in the world in another thread. So this doesn't surprise me.
