Microsoft Edge for Android Might Be Ready to Launch for Everyone

Development of Microsoft Edge for Android and iOS advances at a pretty fast pace, with updates rolled out regularly on both platforms, and now it looks like Microsoft might finally be ready to release the browser to all users.

The Android version of Microsoft Edge is no longer listed as a beta, though the Preview tag is still there, but this could be a sign that the company is close to completing the testing stage and could be rolling out the application as a stable version in the Play store.

Microsoft hasn’t said a single thing about Edge browser being ready for public launch, but the company has been working hard lately to make the application more stable and to expand the feature lineup.

Dark theme and password syncing now available
For example, the latest update brought a dark theme to the browser, as well as password syncing features, which should really come in handy to those using Edge on other platforms, such as on a Windows 10 desktop. Using a Microsoft account, passwords can thus roam between devices using the power of cloud, making it a bit easier to authenticate in Microsoft Edge on your favorite websites.

There are plenty of other features in Microsoft Edge, including Continue on PC, a tool that enables mobile users to continue a browsing session on a Windows 10 PC.

The system must be running Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, and it allows for a certain website to be quickly submitted to the desktop and continue from where users left off with just a few taps.

We’ve reached out to Microsoft to ask if Edge has indeed hit the stable channel, but in the meantime, you can give a try to the latest version by downloading the APK from Softpedia using this link. If you’re currently on iOS, check out the official Microsoft Edge preview sitefor instructions on how to give the browser a try.
