Strange! Microsoft edge isn’t available in the App Store (Israeli store). Shouldn’t it be available worldwide?
Closest answer I could find, "If you do not see the app in the app store, that would mean we have not yet deployed the official app in your locale". Microsoft Community: Edge browser for iOS availability

"Requires Android version 4.4 or higher or iOS 10 or higher. Availability and support may vary by device and regions."
Microsoft website: Microsoft Edge App Download for Android and iOS | Microsoft Edge

Spawn, if you know, is Edge in iOS using webkit rendering engine like Safari or its own EdgeHTML engine? I don't know if Apple now allows third party engine or not.

Ok thanks. I'm surprised by them using Blink on Android. It makes sense in iOS since Apple still doesn't allow but they should've gone with their own engine on Android. There would have been something new to use rather than just another wrapper.
It doesn't matter.

A good example is Firefox for Android which uses the gecko engine, it is very slow on Android compared to Firefox Focus which uses WebView.

However, I don't know if this has changed with the release of Firefox Quantum for Android.

IMO, Microsoft does not need it to run on EdgeHTML. They already have some good quality Apps on both Android and iOS to gain a hold on Google and Apple users. For example, Microsoft Word, Cortana app, Edge and Launcher are just a few apps that are linked to Microsoft services and encourages interactivity between mobile and Windows 10.

It's a good reason for Microsoft to kill off Windows 10 Mobile.

You can read about why EdgeHTML isn't on Edge for Chrome here.
