Mixi DJ virus, Removal guide didn't work

I'm not sure how to add OTL or aswMBR to this post, but I have followed all the steps in the "Remove Mixi DJ Toolbar" on MalwareTips and I still can't get rid of the Mixi DJ. Every time I open google chrome, a tab for Mixi DJ opens with targeted ads. I must be missing a file somewhere that is related, but I can't figure out where. I've uninstalled all the mixi DJ files from the control panel. In google chrome I removed Mixi DJ from the search engine list, the extensions, and reset the defaults. I also ran scans with adwCleaner, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and HitmanPro. The first two removed some files, the last one found no threats, and yet Mixi DJ still comes up. Is there somewhere else that a Mixi DJ file might be hiding? Are there any steps that I've missed that might help?

Before we start:

STEP 2: Run a scan with OTL by OldTimer
<ol><li>Download the OTL utility using the below link :

<li>Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.

Settings You need to Select in OTL

1. Click the Scan All Users checkbox.
2. Change Standard Registry to All.
3. Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check.
