Well i have been playing few battle pass seasons hardcore but lately littlebit on / off gaming, dont even have premium time or battle pass bought currently. I just came back week ago as my sisters son said i should grind war thunder more, and sadly i saw i missed kungstiger from latest battle pass wich is sad Im not looking forward this season battle pass rewards but looking after buying kungstiger if it falls in price around 50$ and probably grind the game more in future than beforeAyyyy War Thunder You still play it? I stopped playing for the grind few years ago, it just wasn't fun anymore. I pretty much just ignore the battle pass/events and play whenever I get free time.Well i have been playing few battle pass seasons hardcore but lately littlebit on / off gaming, dont even have premium time or battle pass bought currently. Well war thunder, you either have to grind or stop completely its that kind of game...grinding battle pass is like going 9-15 work...I stopped playing for the grind few years ago, it just wasn't fun anymore. I pretty much just ignore the battle pass/events and play whenever I get free time.
I got sidetracked because of WT . I wanted to ask, how is performance with ZoneAlarm?
Only if you play to get the new shiny tanks, it becomes a chore then. I don't play to grind stuff at all. I like WW2 stuff, I have most of the cold war stuff unlocked plus few modern MBTs but I won't touch em because the gameplay is just not fun for me.Well war thunder, you either have to grind or stop completely its that kind of game...grinding battle pass is like going 9-15 work...
Yeah, Adguard really slows down the internet. I meant more like Windows shutdown/boot, explorer launch and file browsing, app launch speeds.Well i have been using zonealarm for few hours and performance wise i cant see any difference in anything, surely i used adguard before so brave is very very fast compared to edge+adguard combo.
Could i see any difference in performance if i ran 3d mark benchmark? I doubt theres any difference since antivirus will stay on game mode/silent mode meanwhile..(if theres any)
My network speed dropped a bit on speedtest results, but it might be because im using 5g mobile internet and its evening ( busy times in my town people using alot internet probably)
I mostly play 6.7 germany but sometimes 8.0 swedish. i have decent lineup on 6.7 usa too. But i enjoy mostly ww2 stuff because its interesting era in history.Only if you play to get the new shiny tanks, it becomes a chore then. I don't play to grind stuff at all. I have no issues with those, performance wise i dont feel like difference because i have ran few years with ''gaming pc''Yeah, Adguard really slows down the internet. I meant more like Windows shutdown/boot, explorer launch and file browsing, app launch speeds.
A lot of people already use Defender. It's no coincidence. It's become quite good at defence. Plus, I think people are tired of the problems with 3rd party AVs. Unfortunately most 3rd party AVs are fat, bloated with all the unnecessary crap. Not the right direction.- Removed trend micro because submitting urls to them takes years it seems, otherwise it was working fine
- removed NextDNS
- clean install updated to 24H2 windows update -
+ Using microsoft defender as antivirus with default settings
+ Adguard desktop as adblocker
+ Microsoft edge as browser, only extension im using is bitwarden
+ Cloudflare dns with encrypted hello client enabled on adguard
I guess this is the most simple setup , and overall most stabile config to go with, also on benchmarks microsoft defender beats mcafee, trend micro and avg , avg was worst using cpu most
Totally agree. It's hard to find a home solution these days that isn't loaded with crapsA lot of people already use Defender. It's no coincidence. It's become quite good at defence. I agree with this. Keep it simple. As simple as possible, but effective.I've recently gone for a far more simplistic approach than in the past too,
Take Kaspersky, for example. Its main protections are Database, KSN and Systemwatcher. Completely simplified. All other modules do not give stronger protection and do not catch more malware. So, it may be redundant. Not to mention the extra crap. VPN, filsehredder, etc. What does that have to do with protection? Nothing. They can just sell the crap at a high price. Boring and bullshit.Totally agree. It's hard to find a home solution these days that isn't loaded with craps
