About your question, I think you should enable SAC if it did not bother you, it is a great security layer.
I enabled SAC now, cheers
Were you having issues or was that a routine clean install?
i had no issues, just had trend micro installed on desktop and played with f-secure in vm, just decided to do routine clean install incase of leftovers of trend micro

+ added microsoft edge ( because i use defender, i prefer edge aswel )
+ added adguard desktop back ( since it seems android doesnt support ublock origin on extensions and i prefer using same browser on desktop as on android )

cant say its minimal setup, its just microsoft setup with the adguard for now

4.7.2024 did more changes

+ added adguard vpn ( using cloudflare malware blocking dns for non dns leaks)
- speeds are decent i have 100/100 4g connection:

upload speed is lacking, but i have tunneled VPN To only microsoft edge so games will run with decent ping

+ i have added Mcafee WebAddvisor for microsoft edge, thanks to @Gandalf_The_Grey using it (?) also it scored 92% on phishing tests where kaspersky won with 93%

Lastly i have added some filterlists to adguard:

Just so you know, AdGuardVPN paid plan users get the personal plan of AdGuardDNS for free.
thanks for letting me know, but i tried it yesterday and using hagezi multi on dns level does make websites load littlebit faster, but it does leave some ''blank'' ads here and there. It seems adguard adblocker is heavier but it wont leave those blank pages and handles sites more gentle

Alright , after running few days with microsoft defender + SAC Enabled + adguard dekstop + Adguard VPN, i can say that SAC is working fine, and there has been no blocks. Adguard VPN somehow will show /spam me with russian searches on search engine and also on youtube it will recommend me russian content, also every page that has country related stuff will send me to /ru sites.

Adguard on android (vpn) draining my battery to zero over night so im not gonna go with adguard VPN anymore

- I have done clean install on my desktop and on my android -

Current setup:

+ Trend micro maximum security ( hypersensitive mode enabled + webfilter set to high )

+ Adguard with the Cloudflare Family dns ( adult content + malware blocked )

- Adguard filters i have enabled:
- adguard base filter
- adguard tracking protection
- adguard url tracking protection
- adguard social media filter
- adguard annoyance filter
- easylist cookies list
- ublock origin - badware risks
- adblock list for finland
- OISD big
- Hagezi most abused TLDS blocklist

+ Google chrome as browser
- Bitwarden extension
- Trend micro extension

Conclusion : i dont need VPN as i dont visit public wifis and dont torrent or visit shady websites, privacy doesnt exist but i have no social media anymore so im privacy wise secured.
Im gonna stay with trend micro now but will run other antiviruses on VM if i wanna try them out

Ps. i purchased trend micro licenses with my 20 usd paysafecard from g2a and combined the lists with trend micro support ( took only 10 mins)

Adguard without the VPN on Android is a battery hog. I gave up on it long ago.
For me it works like normally, without draining battery. I have pixel 6a and the battery life is probably biggest downside of having pixel phone.

With my phone usage i can live a day with adguard + trend on the background and going from 100% to > 50% and next day i recharge my battery so i can live like 2 days with one charge

trend micro only supports google chrome on android ( except when using vpn to expand the protection to other browsers, but my vpn is currently used by adguard adblocker )

it depends wich android browser supports the current antivirus im using

for trend micro i use chrome
for microsoft defender i use edge
for f-secure i use firefox , because the vpn slot is used by f-secure vpn here

even thought i dont sync anything between my browsers or store any passwords on my browsers

I thought I can use any browser with any antivirus software, I noticed when I used Kaspersky in the past that it did not support Brave or Vivaldi, good to know, thanks.

web filter, bank protection and other features may work even the browser is not on supported list, but i rather use officially supported browser incase there are some bugs/errors

13.7.2024 ''end of era''

- Removed trend micro

- clean install -

current setup:
- Microsoft defender on default settings
- SAC Enabled
Edge as browser, bitwarden as extension
Adguard desktop - only adguard filters enabled

Quad9 as DNS using dnscrypt

Due trend micro not doing well on peoples tests, even its still decent on paper i gave up with messing with antiviruses..

From now im gonna keep it minimal and simple, trust me 😅
