Using the FTP for new Firefox releases aren't advisable for the general public, as many times they've pulled it down due to Vulnerabilities or other major issues.

Also just because it's present on the FTP server, doesn't mean it's ready.

Just my opinion, but thanks for sharing for those you are die-hard fans!
