Does your system support dual internal drives? If not, you can turn your current 1TB into an external medium with casing.

I am not certain how Windows 10 will react to a Storage change, or how it affects your digital license.

Do it. An ssd will make your system faster. Put the hdd in either the dvd position or as an external drive. You can clone the drive so the ssd upgrade will be easy. Note you will have to take the laptop apart to replace the drive.

Yeah i will be using external casing & HDD is easily accessible in my laptop and won't void warranty so replacing it myself won't be much of an issue.
