MS Defender and DefenderUI is a solution that enhances the security of Microsoft Defender while adding the VoodooShield/CyberLock layer of protection.
Let's take a look at how this security pairing performs...

This is a special test, so I'm not doing the usual scoring.
Overall, it's an excellent protection.
During the pack test, I turned WDAC down a little because I couldn't throw anything...
And then I authorized it once and blocked the rest.

I recommend this solution.

Thanks for the review and recommendation! It's great to see MS Defender and DefenderUI Pro performing well in your tests. The added layer of VoodooShield/CyberLock protection certainly seems to enhance the overall security. Looking forward to more of your special tests.

@Shadowra I am using Kaspersky premium and since it deletes the non-virus file without quarantining it, I am looking for other alternatives. Eset is very expensive in my country, so what do you recommend? Your opinion is very important to me. 🙂 by the way thanks for the test

Hello :)

You have Bitdefender which can be an interesting option and you can buy it for a good price .
For Eset, don't you have any reliable resellers? You can get it for less :)

Thank you Shadowra for the test, I really appreciate it! Yeah, DefenderUI Pro (along with WDAC Lockdown) include a light version of CyberLock that only has the best and most necessary features. It pretty much emulates CyberLock's Smart Mode, but the Kernel Lockdown is not quite as aggressive as CyberLock, and the reason is that WDAC handles the rest ;). So hopefully it is the perfect balance between usability and security, and still implements the original feature of locking the computer when it is at risk. When it is locked and WDAC is locked as well, this is probably equal to CyberLock's efficacy.

On a side note, DefenderUI and WDAC Lockdown are going to be free for several more months, possibly longer. I am still tweaking and refining these new apps, but the current release is perfectly stable. I am getting close to being finished tweaking and refining, and then I am going to finish up ARM64 versions for all of our software.

BTW Shadowra, did you happen to find anything that WDAC did not block, but DefenderUI did? If a web app would have been running and locked the computer, I bet you would have seen this several times ;).

Good to hear. Out of curiosity, as a CyberLock user, does it make sense to run CL and DefenderUI together or does CL cover all the bases? Great products, whatever the case :D

You can run CL and DefenderUI together, makes a lot of sense, but you cannot run CL and DefenderUI Pro together.
Thanks, I understand that and the combination works great together and with a different setup CL runs fine with CD / FWH :D

@danb I suppose my follow up question is, will both standard DefenderUI and DefenderUIPro be paid products in the future or one free and the other paid? Sorry it off topic.
