I personally use ESET and I wanted to do ESET on my dad's pc. But he's so avast main, I cant even talk him out of it. Is it worth going? Read a few reviews on different websites.. seems all good but I can't add anything personally because I haven't used it myself.

For me performance matters a lot and I have read a few avast clean up reviews that are not much convincing. Some websites are also pointing out performance hit issues with the latest update..

HELP!

That's his preference but soon Avast will be infested with ads and your dad will switch to other AV or stick with Win defender.

I have had with good experiences with Avast preimer and like the avast clean up utility,Eset is better for advance users, Avast tweeks are way easier to manage, Dad really dosn"t need to change, unless his computer is low on ram maybe, also you can turn off adds in preimer gl

1- backup his files
2- secretly Turn off Avast shields
3- send him a ransomeware disguised as his favorite porn actress
4- let him cry and spit on Avast
5- install ESET

Take care that your mom doesn't watch it before him and causing a divorce case and I feel the settlement will be worse. Family matters more than Avast. You can block Avast sites in router and warn him as "Intrusion detected, Windows defender took actions to contain it"

I think that "avast " in turn off mode do better job than live Eset:ROFLMAO:
