44C is okey for idle state if the cpu reaches 90 then there might be problem, especially if the cpu throttles otherwise anything below 90C in full load is okey.

You can upgrade the ram to 8GB, such as Corsair Vengeance 8GB CL9 (the lower the better).

You can also upgrade to an ssd, such as Samsung 840 (128GB is enough)

Not a bad brand then, at least with HP you will get support in your own country.

The temperature usually walk around 30-40.
For now I will not do updates to laptop, but thanks for your tips.
