I did a test on this free AV and was very impressed with the result. It was way above my expectation ere is the result.
I tested a bunch of very latest fresh zero day inks. The web-shield stopped 80% of them dead in their track. The 20% made to the desktop, 95% of them were removed by Crystalshield when I tried to run them. Keep in kind that these were very new that even virustotal did not recognized and was not present in its database.
Also I ran a on-demand test on another bunch of the very new fresh malwares and Crystalshield scored 100% in detecting everyone and removing them.
Overall from web protection to heuristic to on-demand (in total) I give it a score of 97%. The highest I have seen in my tests.
