This test shows how an antivirus behaves with certain threats, in a specific environment and under certain conditions.

Before buying an antivirus you should consider factors such as price, ease of use, compatibility, and support. Installing a free trial version allows an antivirus to be tested in everyday use before purchase.

I used Nano in the past for on demand scanning and it picked up threats that were missed by other well respected AVs (even Kaspersky). As an on demand second opinion scanner I still think there is a use for it since they are using their own scan engine. I like using it the same way I would use Malwarebytes free, to me the more engines we have to choose from the better so kudos to Nano for that.

That being said I wouldn't think of running it alone for real-time protection since it relies so heavily on signatures which are always outdated. It needs to be paired with VS or CFW at least until they implement some zero day modules. Thanks for the tests @harlan4096 :)

Well guys, I think the last week testing was enough with NanoAV... it seems they don't generate new signatures so often per day, even testing the pack more than 12 hours later, the static detection remained almost the same, and the dynamic protection was totally absent.

Bad product. Thanks for the tests. Can you test AVG free? I think it will be interesting. And it has not been tested for years in the forum.
