Replace MSE with either Avast Free (Boot scan may come in handy someday) or Qihoo 360 IS (this is lightweight and have no problems so far)

MBAM is fine.

At some backup solution.

I use ASC Pro but will not recommend it to a noobie for general usage and without proper guidance. It might break your PC with it's registry cleaning, though there is a backup of your registry hives prior to cleaning.

Use CCleaner as a subs, it will suffice.

Thanks, but does it block arlerts popup?
do i need web protection and mail protection?

Avast Free have both and are enabled by default

If u prefer freeware then Avira or Qihoo internet security is best choice, it's light ( if u disable it's bitdefender engine for realtime) , doesn't slow boot like others AV, give better protection, good detection & provides better performance. But it doesn't included any firewall so either u use ur window built default AV or if u want some extra features like HIPS then go for 3rd party firewall lke Online armor free, Private firewall, outpost firewall, comodo firewall..etc which ever suits ur need & which u feel better user friendly/comfortable. And about Advance systemcare pro, i'll say it's not really needed. For tunning PC, u only need a advance diskcleanup like CCleaner, wise diskcleaner or Privazer whichever u prefer. CCleaner provide registry cleaner but using registry cleaner won't give any benefit but if u want u can try. There r 3rd party registry defrag available , don't look at them since many peoples broke their PC using registry defrag coz it's not safe. And another tunning tool u need is to fix fragment of ur Disk. Window built in defrag works well but if u prefer advance one then try Auslogic Defrag free, defraggler or iobit defrag. Rest u don't need any PC optimization tool.

I'll recommended u a backtool tool since it's the one medicine which will save u always. there r free backtools, some are- macrium reflect , Easus todo. etc. Also it's good if u add some extension in chrome like Disconnect ( protection against spy trackers), lastpass password manager. If u prefer about ur privacy & security then u can add HTTPS everywhere ( it will try to encrypt web pages for secure connection who default use HTTP but support HTTPS), vanilla cookie manager, VT chromizer ( for checking URL if u feel doubt it's suspicious) & Don't track me google etc. Try Eagle get download manager, it's best freeware download manager. Also i'll suggest u to pick up Cyberghost free over hotspotshield since Hotspotshield can be easily blocked by ISP & many countries blocked Hotspotshield. You can use openvpn ( no logs ) too.

thank both of you :D my laptop is more secure now :D

Installing an AV is just half of the battle. Make sure Windows is updated as well as your AV (Real time) and AM (On-demand). If you don't use programs that requires Java, better not install it. With a regular maintenance with CCleaner like clearing your temps you'll do just fine. Also add protection for USB devices. You can use MCShield. Turn autoplay off and immunize all HDDs and memory cards. I use Autorun Protector for that. Put some common sense and practice safe browsing habits.

Hi Naughty!!! It seems you got the expert opinion on real time AV. You may also try Avira Free. Its is one of the very respectable AV out here. Also ccleaner for system maintenance is highly recommended. Also I recommend UAC always notify should be turned on. Do not get greedy on the net and thus save yourself from the NET.

So true about the registry... When I first used ASC, the registry cleaner ruined my registry. Nowadays, it's all good :)
