need help please!

hi there. im having probs with my pc crashing!

the screen goes blue, with a sad face, and something about kernel error.

I have no idea what this is, and no idea how to fix it.

or what it is.

any help would be appreciated. thank you!

and also. while im here! I started using ie again, as my chrome was playing up. I uninstalled it, reinstalled it and now have adds popping up all over the place. my anti virus seems to be ok. I checked my pc last week and got rid of what I thought was rubbish and not needed. I am not a pc techno person. so need lots of help. its only a year old so it cant blow out on me yet !
