I have been using Nitro Pro for my PDF needs for quite some time now, I think
    since v5.x.x
Is there one that is more secure that maybe I have missed or is new and I may not be aware of ?
I like that I can disable Java in Nitro Pro, but it is online a lot, and it uses web plug-in's so
I am wondering if I am using a dated solution or should I stick with what I have.
Please no " this is free " advise I don't mind paying for the best solution, and I am aware
that sometimes the free option is better than the paid but in this case I don't mind spending
seeing I deal with a high volume of PDF's from my 3 daughters schools, and for work from BNSF

    SumatraPDF

It does not support javascript nor Flash. That was true in 2011, 2013 when I last checked, and I would bet it remains true til this very day.

Another option is to make Microsoft Edge your default PDF reader and open PDFs in AppContainer.

Sumatra has a "restricted mode" very nice.
For working with my work PDF's this would be nice.
I am impressed, thanks again Jeff ;)

Don't get too excited. It is a very limited functionality PDF reader - by design. The advantage is ease-of-use, very light on resources, and reliability.

For reading PDFs it works very well. For editing and manipulating PDFs it was not designed for that purpose. A better option for heavy editing would be PDF-XChange Editor.

I have to create some but not too often.
If I have an incident report, or internal
record I want to generate for my own keeping.
The rest is just reading from the schools my daughters attend.
I will give that PDF-XChange a look as well. Thanks again.
    EDIT
Yeah that's more to what I need.
44 bucks for a single license is very good too. :)

PDF-Xchange Editor can use a lot of RAM - especially for large size PDFs.

I have had good results with it. The freeware version is quite good for a freeware.

I am downloading it from "OneStore" now,
strange that they don't make a standalone for
    windows.
    Thanks again.
