At just a few weeks after the release of the first upgrade for the embedded and componentized flavor of Windows 7, Microsoft is adding new features to the operating system.
Essentially, the Redmond company made available for download a feature update for Windows Embedded Standard 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) RTM.
According to Lynda Allen, Microsoft Embedded program manager, customers will need to head over to the ECE site in order to access the feature update for Windows Embedded Standard 7 SP1. Of course, they will need valid ECE accounts in order to download the refresh.
“This update contains two new features - Enhanced Write Filter Provider and File Based Write Filter Provider,” Allen revealed.
Fact is that some customers might already be familiar with the features mentioned above.
