New Lithium Batteries Make Smartphones Last Twice As Long

Many new technologies for more power in batteries get invented and are actually a lot better than this one. The issue with most is that it's just in papers and are not pushed to the consumer in a timely manner. This company seems to actually produce this batteries in the near future so we will see.
Any battery improvements will actually help a lot and i am not talking about gadgets. Gadgets will benefit but they are not the main goal. Main goal would be actually to improve batteries used in renewable energy projects. When cost of saving power in batteries in such projects drops enough we will be able to expand their usage without creating problems to the whole power grid and without constraints. When that happens Coal, Petroleum and Hydrocarbon will stop being used for energy in most places and we will just use their subproducts for other applications.
Renewable energy is the future and better batteries will make that future possible.

Battery performance IMO is quite dependent on how we, the user, using it. I would say majority of the user were not aware of battery usage; like charging overnight, use powr until flat, continuous charging without unplugging.

All these affect the battery performance and life-time.

So, to me the best way not how to improve the battery, instead improve knowledge for users on battery types and awareness.
