I have been browsing the forums on and off for a while, but finally decided to register and post.
I am a student majoring in Information Systems.
I have been interested in computing since early grade school.
My knowledge level is medium. I can remove malware, re-image computers and configure them for better security in the future. I enjoy helping others when I get the time between school breaks.
My goal/ambition is to work in Data Security/Information Security.
If this were not to happen, I would prefer to be a System Administrator.
I also try to keep up with the latest news in InfoSec/Computing in general in my free time.
I do plan on working in this field in the future. It is an ever growing and continually evolving field that will be in demand for a long time.
There is also a shortage of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) majors in general at the moment.
I look forward to learning more from this forum.
