In times long ago, the protection was a little better, but there was a performance penalty and the GUI was't good.

Seems like before there were no realtime security updates.... so it might be more cloud, more instant updates with signatures.

The structure is almost the same, just a different GUI
Its very light and my computer runs very smooth with AVG, i like its performance which is good for gaming.
