New to the MalwareTips because of 1-888--392-2985 pop up virus on Win 10

Hi Everyone. I stumbled upon Malewaretips by researching this annoying pop up I just got on my system and it looks like it's quite the scam. Quick Google review on how to remove brought me to SpyHunter. So what is the best way to get rid of this?

A quick way of fixing the problem would be running some scans with Zemana/Hitman Pro/Malwarebytes/EEK/NPE, and then doing a clean install of Windows.

I replied you inside the other thread, but probably is a JavaScript, some shady sites use them to do all sort of things.

A friend of mine tried, with a good rate of success, to fight those people back...
