Yup i send it the report to Tony sir (SD developer) because symentec also shown that at virus total and they confiremed it is FP ,yes next time i remember to send it to ikarus if somthing found

Sometimes it does no good at all to report false positives. Nirsoft developer has contacted AV vendors several times and they still detect almost all of Nirsoft Utilities as Trojans and Hack Tools.

Over the years I have witnesses the same AV vendors continue to detect the same safe files as malicious some are even digitally signed by trusted vendors. I have even got replies from AV vendors after reporting false positives like Nirsoft Utilities saying since these programs can be used for malicious purposes we will continue to detect them. Professional hackers use Internet Explorer, other web browsers and safe programs for malicious purposes all the time, then why are they not detected as well?

FACT:

Dear James,

I have heard of False positives by Ikarus indeed.
For new files we are no longer using Ikarus, but known files can still get a message that it was detected Ikarus.
This will disappear on its own in the future, we cannot change anything about these messages by Ikarus right know.
Of course we are able to solve the False Positives Ikarus is detecting.

Those people can contact us via support@hitmanpro.com
They can send us the log file showing the file they are referring to.

No, I believe Tech Support is correct. Eventually Ikarus and G-Data detections will disappear, the "highers up" even started what engines they're using on the Product UI.

i didn't say that jim lin was lying and btw with Ikarus gone who is gong to help cover gdata, kis, and emsoft out when it comes to zero day and low detection malware

100% true

Other member who is using SD also face this problem,symentec detected it.SD is not unknown software created before 2-3 months ago while i read in one thread on MalwareTips it has bad repo in the past due to some issue but now it is continuley developed.I checked the two ver. of SD & both are detected. I like hitman pro but currently i am using zemana antimalware so it has a ikarus.
