It's clean, but if you let it auto install all your software everything gets installed with default settings. That means toolbars, browser add ons and anything else that's checked by default on each piece of software. There's a few sites very similar to this one.

The site seems to be good to download from, it does not bundle any unwanted programs in their installer (at this moment)... The downloaded programs have the digital signature of their developers so everything looks ok.

I usually like to get my software directly from the developer website but I guess that if you like this website, you should be fine.

And as a general tip:
You should always pay attention when installing software because often, a software installer includes optional installs, like toolbars or adware. Be very careful what you agree to install.
Always opt for the custom installation and deselect anything that is not familiar, especially optional software that you never wanted to download and install in the first place. It goes without saying that you should not install software that you don’t trust.

It actually doesn't install any toolbars or those advertised applications, it installs the required application only. :)

Great utility. I first read about Ninite in a How-To-Geek's article and use it for ages. Safe & Recommended.
 
It's awesome. Use it. In fact, the 10 dollar NiniteUpdater is pretty bad@$$ too. Covers Java. And though Flash is not a listed runtime on www.ninite.com, NiniteUpdater informed me of an available Flash update. Highly recommend, so far. Only think to remark about is, even though it will recognize your software architecture for the update, if you want the 64-bit version of a program, get the first installation from the source. (i.e.- 7-Zip. which it will install in 32-bit version of, should you get the installer from www.ninite.com)
 
Does anyone know any alternatives to this?


OT : The site is safe, and i use it after reformat.
