I'll admit it, Trend Micro is probably the only software tempting me to break down and impulsively change my setup despite my better judgement. I've been so good about keeping it stable. TM is light, modern, and sports a beautiful interface; right along the lines of what I need and want.

We'll see...

"The Trend Micro browser extension for Firefox is currently still in beta, presumably because it hasn't yet successfully completed all the necessary tests and stability checks to be released as a fully stable version. Beta phases are often used to gather user feedback, fix final bugs, and address compatibility issues with new Firefox versions.

One specific reason for this with Firefox is that changes in Firefox's architecture and security requirements (such as certificate issues or code injections) often pose challenges in developing browser extensions. For example, Firefox 143 experienced issues where Trend Micro security software caused crashes through DLL injection, which Mozilla resolved with an update (Firefox 143.0.1). Such technical challenges could also delay the extension's stabilization.

In summary, Trend Micro is likely still keeping the Firefox extension in beta to ensure that, after adjustments to Firefox versions and network and security requirements, the extension is stable, secure, and compatible before its final release."
