Had what seemed to be a redirect issue so used How to remove any browser redirect virus removal guide; now I cant connect to internet. I have "could not connect to System Event Notification Service" error; I cannot start the service manually.

I was having redirect issues. I decided I had something unwanted running; found the removal guide. it started well but after the Hitman Pro step there was a reboot. Now I have no internet svc. I get Failed to Connect to System Event Notification Service error. I have not been able to start the service manually.
