The Nokia Lumia 800 is Nokias first flagship phone to feature Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 Operating System. Now superseded by the Lumia 820 and 920. Released in November 2011, the phone now runs Windows Phone 7.5 with 7.8 on the way shortly (or right now if you're willing to get your hands dirty.

Microsoft have made it clear that Windows Phone 8 won't be available on the Lumia 800, supposedly due to hardware constraints. Still however, Windows Phone 7.5 alongside Nokia's excellent hardware still provides a fantastic experience.

Basic spec list:

Display: AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16 Million colors
Storage: 16GB, no SD card slot for expansion.
Camera: 8 Mega Pixel with Carl Zeiss Optics. Includes Auto-focus and LED flash. 720P Video recording.
Operating System: Windows Phone 7.5 (7.8 due to be released through Zune in the coming months)
CPU: Single Core 1.4 GHz Scorpion.

Full Specs

Mobile providers in Europe, Such as Vodafone, are currently offering this phone at a discounted price of ~€170, which makes it great value for money. If you're in the market for a smartphone, this should still be considered.

I was looking into getting a Nokia Lumia, but with limited availability on my mobile network I'll have to settle with another brand.

The Zune software requirement will be an issue, since I don't particularly like the software.

Yeah I can see how some don't fancy it. I don't think it's needed for the newer Windows Phone 8 devices( could be wrong on that though.
