Do tell about these "unique features".
I don't use Windscribe nor do I know what features it has, but I do use NordVPN and I find it to have great features such as:
  • CyberSec
  • Internet KillSwitch
  • Invisibility on LAN
  • App Kill Switch
  • Auto-connect to a preferred region
  • Connect on insecure wireless connections
  • Custom DNS
  • Obfuscated Servers
  • P2P Servers
  • Double VPN
  • Onion-over-VPN
  • 24/7 chat support
  • DNS Leak Protection
  • No logs
  • Really cheap

Both are great tbh. Nord VPN has more serers. More than 5000 if you're interested in that. Better personally test both before deciding because Nord VPN runs fine here with great speed but Windscribe performs terrible at my location. I get almost no speed at all both on my PC and smartphone. So, it's important that you test yourself.

Let's unwrap that....

CyberSec - Windscribe has ROBERT, which is 10x as powerful since it has multiple block lists, is completely customizable, and allows for spoofing and debugging: Windscribe

Benchmarks below: Meet R.O.B.E.R.T — Malware and Ad Blocker

KillSwitch - Windscribe has a Firewall, which is the same thing as their "killswitch".

Invisibility on LAN - Cool.... disable "LAN firewall bypass" in our apps.

App kill switch - Snake oil feature which offers no value whatsoever. Shutting off the Internet is the only safe option. We didn't include it on purpose.

Everything else:
  • Auto-connect to a preferred region - Windscribe has this
  • Connect on insecure wireless connections - Windscribe has this
  • Custom DNS - When you use Windscribe, you use our ROBERT DNS. Using any other DNS server effectively creates a DNS leak.
  • Obfuscated Servers - All our servers have obfuscation protocols, not just some like theirs. Use Stealth or WStunnel and connect to ANY location.
  • P2P Servers - All our servers support P2P except in India and Japan.
  • Double VPN - You can double hop with our desktop app and browser extension, and pick ANY 2 locations. Not their pre-packaged ones.
  • Onion-over-VPN - We don't have that for a reason, as the makers of Tor specifically say not to do this. It's a very bad idea. Google why.
  • 24/7 chat support - We got Garry which is equally as useful as their trier 1 support in a 3rd world country reading of a script.
  • DNS Leak Protection - Almost every VPN has this....
  • No logs - Same here
  • Really cheap - We're cheaper.

Now let's look at Windscribe's features

1. ROBERT - you already know about him. No other VPN has anything even close to that, except Perfect-Privacy which came the closest to Windscribe in terms of blocking performance and customization. It still lacks custom domain whitelisting/blacklisting and spoofing

2. Static IPs + port forwarding with as many ports and devices as you wish. This also includes residential IPs in US and Canada. Windscribe

3. Team Accounts Windscribe

4. Proxy Gateway - create a web/socks5 proxy server right on your computer, use it for all devices on your network Windscribe

5. Secure Hotspot - creates a secure wifi-enabled hotspot on your computer (if your NIC supports it): Windscribe

6. Browser extension - our new browser extensions (can get the beta in our Discord that has the following features)
  • Client side ad-blocking (uBlock built in and fully accessible)
  • WebRTC blocking
  • Geo-location API spoofing
  • Timezone spoofing
  • User agent rotation
  • 1st/3rd party cooking monitoring + deleting when you close tabs

And don't get me started on their false marketing, unsubstantiated claims and just general lies.

Ask me anything, good luck getting a response from the Nord "CEO", if you can ever find who it is.

For those wondering, you can ask Garry for a trial which I what I did last year. It's either 24 hours or 48 hours I can't remember specifically, but it's definitely worth it.

Edit: I know Windscribe is cheaper than NordVPN anyway but with Windscribe's build-a-plan you can get unlimited bandwidth, ROBERT and pro locations in one country for $2/month. Absolute steal.

Lol, I like Windscribe's attitude but regarding DNS leaks I must say that there are few that are not leaking. All are saying we're not leaking but in fact they are. Adblocking is a feature that many don't have also.

Double VPN & Tor/Onion over VPN. Great for anonymity.

Except it isn't, developers of TOR recommend against accessing TOR from a non-TOR browser, which was hardened for TOR usage. It's a cool feature to list on your promo site so people can mention it on forums, but it does a disservice to the user.

That's great! Sounds like a great product. Like I said, I haven't tried it and I am not trying to trash-talk about your software, this is my first comment on this thread. But if you're a dev for the program, that sounds like a really agressive marketing strategy.
