1. Everytime Blitz updates itself, the installer is blocked and the execution of the program is blocked. Therefore Blitz does not start. You must move to trusted the installer too. And once updated, you must move the new executable to Trusted, since it's blocked too.

Understand. This behavior is normal. Norton will work the same way, but it will be simpler for you to allow the application. Anyway, as we know in the case of IObit malware, there is no need to hurry with updating applications. When using Kaspersky, you probably should wait a few days until the new version will be whitelisted in KSN.

Sadly, Blitz includes auto-update and will begin to update on each start of the application. Since a new version is released to keep up with patches, it's updated at least 2-3 times a week, so it's painful to tweak Kaspersky's AC each time, several times for each update.

Well you are not supposed to adapt to the AV, specially when it's a paid product. It's supposed to adapt to you. You can either turn off the AC module, which you've already mentioned you do not wish to do, or you can install something else. It's easier to allow items with Norton.

I have 2 (not really a solution) to your problem:
- Leave Application Control at default settings.
- Use an alternative program that has digital signature.

There're no other ways to get around this, I had the same problem before, and it made me reverted AC to default settings.

Norton is a good choice in the home environment. But generally, there is also another solution to similar problems. One can change the software. I bet that there are many alternatives to Blitz (and similar applications), but only a few alternatives to Kaspersky or Norton.:)
