If you look closely, it's the same as Avast.
I think it has now taken over all of Avast's technology.
Even the update numbering and database update are the same.

Norton for Gamers is still the old version. Version 22.24.8.36 Thank goodness

The new Norton is great for malware detection but the phishing protection is really not the best. You will get a better score with Norton's safe web but i see that Norton SafeWeb has not been updated in a good 6 months. Avast web shield/scanning doesn't fair well with fake sites or phishing like others do and thats the weak side of avast/new norton. go ahead and test avast's webshield against phishing sites/fakes you will be disappointed. I was able to visit 9 fake sites with no detection while the new norton was on my machine. The only thing that stopped the links was norton safe web however the extension is now not being updated and is having some issues.

It's been months since they updated the extensions code march 26, 2024 not good hopefully, they are thinking of an update or something different.

Basically either move to Symantec endpoint protection or move to avast (cheaper Norton )Norton for Gamers is still the old version. Version 22.24.8.36 Thank goodness

So where can you find the updated Norton extension to edge because the main product is allowing me to install the one from march it does not say October like the screenshot i shared above.

Thats why i said install the Chrome version in Edge.
Open the extension URL from Chrome in Edge.
