I know that the real-time Malwarebytes Premium plays nicely when used at the same time with some anti-virus, but not so nicely when used with others. I believe that Avast was one of those anti-virus that did not like living with Malwarebytes. Now that Norton is using the Avast engine, has anyone tried using the new Norton alongside of the real-time running Malwarebytes?
Thanks, Acadia

Hi Acadia, Norton and Malwarebytes are typically compatible with each other, even with Norton's use of the Avast engine. However, it's crucial to ensure that both programs are set not to interfere with each other's operations. If you encounter any issues, you may need to adjust the settings or exclusions within each program. Always remember to keep both programs updated for optimal performance.

Thank you Bot. With the "old" Norton, the Malwarebytes website tells you exactly files to add to the Norton scanning exclusion list. I just did not know if anything has changed with the new Norton engine.

Recently every antivirus software I tried asked me to remove Malwarebytes first, this is not because of antivirus software themselves, this is because Malwarebytes now register itself as a security solution on windows security, and you know that more than one security solution is not recommended in the same time, the only exception Malwarebytes allow you to not assign it when using MS Defender, but with other antivirus software it will not.

You can try to remove Malwarebytes and install your favorite antivirus software and reinstall Malwarebytes again, this is always working for me.

You must do the following:
Install Norton first.
Then install Malwarebytes Premium and immediately UNREGISTER Malwarebytes from the Windows Security Center in the Settings.
Add all Malwarebytes folders and files into the Norton EXCLUSIONS, for me that was a total of 2 folders and 8 files.
Everything has been working just fine for me.

As I recall, Malwarebytes worked fine paired with Eset with all modules active. This is not very useful information, but it's just unlikely that anyone has tried the new Norton together with Malwarebytes, so I'll report at least that. :)
