Welcome to MT.
If you want to try linux take Linuxmint ! Based on ubuntu (who is based on debian and Rapberry Pi are on Debian), Linuxmint had a very user-freindly interface and uncomplicared packtage management.

You can see here :http://www.linuxmint.com/
If you have any question about it just ask me.

Hello and welcome to MalwareTips!

Linux contains lots of distros and derivatives, so it contains minimal differences; you may try Zorin OS which a similar like to Windows so it should be easily use. ;)

You can use Handy-linux, very simple Windows-like user interface and fully compatible with debian.
