Norton 360 is tweaked.I use aggressive SONAR, aggressive Heuristics and aggressive Boot Time Protection. Also Smart Definitions is set to OFF meaning that norton will use its entire database of known malware for Signature Based Protection.
WinPatrol is custom configured with some more .REG entries to monitor.
Norton Power Eraser is run every 3 Months.Always Updated.
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free Is run every 6 Months.Always Updated.

[Web Browser]
I have JAVA Uninstalled completely from the System.
Also i have set Firefox to use The click to use feature which blocks flash etc from running unless you click it.

[System]

Diskeeper Running Realtime Tweaked.
Process Lasso Running Realtime Tweaked.
Revo Uninstaller Pro for all Uninstall Operations.
Everything else i do manually.

There's better suites than Norton 360
Hi LoneGeek810,
saying there are better suites than norton 360 is very general. Not saying it is true or false but that could be said for every other suite out there.Do you have a specific issue with norton suite than another suite can do better while still being able to be the same or better in other features of norton? If yes which one?

Thanks.

Norton has improved a lot, I'm using NIS right now. (same tweaks as you), Really good. However I do have a grudge for 360 as it does not get its version updates the same as NAV and NIS until a few Months later.

Your config is good :D

Looks Good :)
As far as the Norton issue goes it is always what works best for you on your system as long as it keeps you secure.

I just think 360 is bloated and too expensive and other suites have better protection, I would say try Comodo for free or ESET paid, it's very light.

I have never been a fan of the Norton 360, but what works for me or does not work for me, will not probably suite your needs, so you need to judge this one for yourself based on your knowledge/uses/system resources. Other then this, your config looks good!

When was the last time you used it? I seen it been used on REALLY old systems with slow CPU's and still be light, Also I disagree with Eset, Norton offers more prevention features than eset (unless you configure its HIPS correctly) which I also seen that v6 has rather high RAM usage. I however agree that 360 is too expensive and unneeded but NIS will do just fine.

A friend of mine had it on their pc and still got infected plus she said it was slowing her pc down alot, I have tried it a few times not too long ago and my system lagged so I un-installed it.
Everyone has their own opinion, I just suggested other vendors is all.
