My friend has not been able to open hyperlinks in his emails the last several days. I recently installed Avast Free Edition on his system, but I did leave it at its default settings. Any ideas?

Please disregard and kill this thread; just a case of temporary ignorance--he did not realize that every time he clicked on it, it was opening a new browser in the background.
The first thing I did was check processes, and I saw 20 Chrome browsers open (they were all concealed on the taskbar in the chrome icon). LOL
