I know that many of us checked our password strength at a website a while back. I wonder how many passwords are taken from sites like that and incorporated into password sniffing malware?

I would have been a bit skeptical of testing any of my passwords for secure sites on a site like that but I dont know what site it was or the circumstances. I would imagine more than you would think.I dont think no matter How secure, legit or trusted a site might be we are never safe.Just have to stay informed, updated and secure and roll the dice.

I am not saying that I believe that the particular website some of the members here utilized had ulterior motives similar to what I suggested in the first post. It seemed harmless enough when we did it and maybe one of my cronies in here that uses WOT, and tools like it, confirmed some things I could not. That said, there could be many password strength sites out there that are sinister within their ulterior motives.

I agree 100%.Like many sinister sites out there Im sure there are those too.Targeting mainly the uninformed novice user who will click anywhere and buy into anything that sounds like a magical cure all

A strong password and software such as last pass but there will probably never be something 100% secure.Especially as we have seen in the past year and a half.Where there is a will, there is a way
