Privacy Cards put the control in your hands when you make a purchase online. Business or personal, one-time or subscription, now you decide who can charge your card, how much, how often, and you can close a card any time.

Using single-use virtual cards it provides protection against identity theft and fraud, and gives you control over your subscriptions with one-click to pause payments.

Pay with Privacy (beta) for Safari now available.
We are thrilled to announce the beta launch of our redesigned Privacy browser extension for Safari on macOS!

Our extension has always made paying online easier, safer, and more private by autofilling unique Privacy Card numbers at checkout. We’ve heard your feedback on how we can make it better. With our brand new beta, we’re introducing several highly-requested updates:

  • ‍Safari support: To our Safari users, we can now support you with this beta extension!
  • Easier access to card info: No more toggling between windows! You can now “pin” details of a Privacy Card to the corner of a website. Whenever card information has to be entered manually, you can conveniently view and copy the card number, CVV, and expiration date without leaving the checkout page.
  • Even faster checkout: We’ve made the extension easier to use and enhanced our checkout detection to improve speed and accuracy. You can also now see both card- and account-level spend limits within the extension.
  • Dark Mode: With a fresh look and feel, you can now switch between light and dark mode depending on your preference.

This is an open beta - we want to hear from you! As you try the extension, please submit comments and suggestions here or reach out to us at support@privacy.com. Your feedback will help us refine our browser extension before releasing fully across Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari.

As others have said, a prepaid card is much better. Privacy.com provides no anonymity, and likely little privacy. Both Privacy.com, and the current banking institution that creates virtual cards, Patriot Bank NA, are privy to your SSN and any other information you must submit to them, as well as all transactions. So not only do you have to read Privacy.com’s privacy policy, but also Patriot Bank’s privacy policy.
There are rules about what banks can share, so it's probably good enough to protect yourself from large datatheft corporations, but nothing further. I do use it though, such as when signing up for a free month of something, since you can set a limit to what can be charged.
