I haven't seen any assistance offered here for Safari/MAc ? Since two days ago I have been experiencing odd things on my iMac: pages freezing, ads appearing like crazy and every now and then there is this PCsupportpros.org "support" window that pops up.

I have tried to locate a file under such name in "Downloads" and "Applications" but no success.

Advice, anyone?

Well I use safari too on my macbook pro but I use some add ons to prevent stuff. I use bit defender traffic light, wot, adblock plus and disconnect.me add-on. To be honest I use antivirus software too which is Symantec Endpoint Protection but if you have the feeling of safari being infected and it could be you should run perhaps a virus scan with sophos home edition or av software that you trust. Furthermore on this site there's not too much mac stuff that I've seen I usually visit this site using my pc but macrumors forum is a nice one perhaps to find help with your issue.

Yes,I am afraid I share your view about the paucity of Mac information on this otherwise superb site. Thank you SO MUCH for your help. I am still curious if any Mac user has already dealt with the Pcsupportspros scam?

Well I don't really know. I'm sorry I can't help you with that. But feel free to ask me about mac stuff with private messages whenever you need or want I will gladly help.
