I've used 7-Zip for a long time and it's great.

Exploring other software, that's all. :D

anyone tried Haozip....

I use Haozip, it is freeware product comparable to WinRAR.
Probably the best free file archiver tool available. Supper fast compression and extraction of all formats.

Enjoy!!:D

Great it's free, I like programs that are free. Saves money :P

HAO doesnt have official windows 8 support, the virtual drive isnt functioning correctly and decompressing files on network shares takes much longer than 7-zip. still a good archiving tool though.

peazip doesnt have context-menu for extracting.

It has a context menu.
AFAIK the context menu always worked to me for extraction and for the other functions - on XP, 7, and 8 64 bit.

llama is right. I have used to use PeaZip for few months and I confirm it has a context menu for extracting. But they have partnership with OpenCandy, the adware that recommends other apps while installing an app. I don't know whether this is dangerous or not.

its weird, i installed it few days ago and didnt have those. i apologize for the mistake, im gonna install it again and check it out.

k now im a bit confused, installed peazip then created a 7zip file with it and then right-clicked on it:
