Phishing scam 95% came from .edu emails

Hi, i have deploy a few email testing in order to observed and detect scammed, malware, and phishing site sent via emails.

And i wonder, 95% of the phishing emails came from .edu emails. Why was it? is it because of the lack of security taken by those .edu owner?

List of emails address sending out phishing scam: replace (a) with @

What?? it thought they need to enroll as a student before they can get one?
Some of them don't even need you to be enrolled to acquire one, I have seen people leak methods on how you can get one and they do work 100%.

People want them because you can get good discounts on various products, but I have never seen someone phish with one of them.

Fake generators are widely exist in the internet for an instrument to get any domain including .edu

And for such reason security are same to other domains in terms of registration process.
