In fact Piriform Recuva Pro has the only advantage that it has technical support and automatic update option. Recuva Free does everything what Pro version can. But I'll share anyway :rolleyes:

You can download Recuva Free from Piriform here: http://www.piriform.com/recuva/download

Install the free program
Click "options" in the upper right
Click "About" and then "Upgrade to Pro"
Fill in the details provided from the spoiler in Bora's post above.

Free version is absolutely fine but if you use it and want the support & auto update features might as well take advantage of it

This is actually quite helpful to me. It works with the portable version which makes the automatic updates even more valuable. Thanks for the heads up.

I just liked it on the promo page and can confirm it is the same license for everyone as in the OP spoiler.
I also downloaded the program to test it and it registered PRO Version

Excuse me, but this is not the "Giveaway", but only sharing the pirate-generated keys. Piriform does not have any relation with this.
 
Well here is the skinny on this "Old Giveaway" that is still valid.

It is not a pirated key.It is a key ,the same key, that was given to everyone that used the giveaway.It is still valid.

From now on if someone suspects a key or software posted may be pirated,please contact me or Bora via PM and we will look into it

I had got a key for Ccleaner pro by Donotcrack from the Facebook 'like' , it worked for a month then in every update it said to produce the registration code and when I paste the code it said invalid, so I think the same scene may also happen for this product ....as same code for everyone. Just my thought. Anyway thanks for the information.

I already told that "Well for those who are unable to register."
This will surely work for future versions also and piriform might blacklist this key in future build (obviously). So, we should be prepared early for that and if the offline process is working then there should be no excuses i think.

This works fine after disconnecting from the net. However, there is no gain in functionality. This has been one of my trusted recovery applications for a long time and using the free version is just fine. Unless you need enterprise support, in which case, having a non-genuine license will not help you.
I also don't believe this license came with enterprise support

Add this line in your host file(c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts):
127.0.0.1 license.piriform.com
