""""""Astronomers reject the idea of Nibiru, and have made efforts to inform the public that there is no threat to Earth in 2012.[19] They point out that such an object so close to Earth would be easily visible to the naked eye, as Jupiter and Saturn are both visible to the naked eye, and are dimmer than Nibiru would be at their distances. A planet such as Nibiru would create noticeable effects in the orbits of the outer planets.[20] Some counter this by claiming that the object has been concealed behind the Sun for several years, though this would be geometrically impossible.[12] Amateur photographs supposedly showing Nibiru near the Sun are usually the result of lens flares, false images of the Sun created by reflections within the lens.[21]"""""

My take on this:

A neutron star is estimated to be 10 to 15 miles in diameter. It is the remnant of a star roughly 1-3 times the size of our sun that experienced a catastrophic gravitational collapse that results in an extremely dense, thus heavy, heavenly body. The event is complete in that all the electrons and protons of the atoms become neutrons due to the violent and uncomprehensable forces at work. Neutron stars spin at one revolution per second, or one per every 200 or 300 seconds, or so. A bathtub full of quasar mass would equal two Mt. Everests. The gravitational pull of something that massive can drag all kinds of space matter along with it and it would wreak havoc on our moon, tides, and asteroid belt; the latter possibly causing and impact on Earth. There is no way we would see something that small, yet destructive, if it is more than 100,000,000 miles away, which is roughly the distance from the earth to the sun. By that time, bad things would already begin to happen. Add a rapidly aging core and geosphere, thus magnetosphere, of earth, and it is double trouble when considering all of the dramatic increases in seismic activity over the last several years.

Faulty Logic: "They point out that such an object so close to Earth would be easily visible to the naked eye, as Jupiter and Saturn are both visible to the naked eye, and are dimmer than Nibiru would be at their distances."

Neutron Stars DO NOT APPLY

Neutron stars are less than the the diamater of a small city or large town with a mass that theoretically makes jupiter seem like a small asteroid. Try spotting a small asteroid as far away as jupiter. Problem is that once you spot the small object crazy things have already begun to happen.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neutron_star

""""The neutron star's density varies from below 1×109 kg/m3 in the crust, increasing with depth to above 6×1017 or 8×1017 kg/m3 deeper inside (denser than an atomic nucleus).[8] This density is approximately equivalent to the mass of a Boeing 747 compressed to the size of a small grain of sand, or the human population condensed to the size of a sugar cube.[9]""""

Neutron stars are the aftermath of supernovas. They are only a small fraction of the radius of the parent star they were compacted from.
