Yes, I will continue to fix errors, and if I find anything small but important, I can add it if it works.
You can scan a file or folder by right-clicking on the Polar engine.
But, would I trust it over, KVRT, NPR or even EEK? I would rather use my own stand alone AV with years, decades of fine tuning, and use one of the listed 2nd opinion scanners on demand, again, with decades of the companies history and background in engineering to the mass public, especially for something this critical as correctly assessing my PC security. I agree with @Khushal and @TuxTalk comments. In another 5 years, this may be something to consider?
And I do like how @tiktoshi mentioned this in bold text, as far as my comparing it to a more well know, decades old vendors
This is not a commercial version; it's my own version that I'm sharing with you
Just want added my 2 cents, I been testing Polar AntiVirus, since 5.0 beta, just as regular user. ESET Smart Essential, VoodoShield (Cyberlock), and Polar Antivirus together. Work just fine together with low false positive. Hehe. Upkeeping with rapid development of Polar Antivirus sometime a headache. But that keep my peak interest @tiktoshi in works since he always trying new feature out. Out with something that don't work and in that does.
Kodos and Thanks for make this second opinion antivirus free.
VirusTotal is clearly indicated with the choice of “engines” used (Kaspersky, Avast, etc.), somewhat like Secureaplus/CatchPulse.
Note that the antivirus does not provide the API key; you will have to enter it yourself (unfortunately, it does not indicate that one is required or how to do so).
Surprisingly, when it moves to Quarantine, it only moves. Except that a script can restart the targeted infection because the files are not locked or encrypted. BIG SECURITY CONCERNS HERE !
The firewall and web protection are useless; there was no reaction to a ConnectWise I installed.
And if Polar DB and VirusTotal don't recognize a sample, the antivirus lets it pass completely because there is no proactive system (tested with a NanoCore RAT that I built for the test—the connection was made between my VM and another VM with a VPN on it).
On a small piece of malware that I quickly made in Batch with a simple Taskkill command, the antivirus shuts down too easily... I don't dare imagine what would happen with a worm...
There's still work to be done!

This is a personal project and it's a work in progress.
Tiktoshi will get there eventually to make this better on each version. He constantly adds new features and ideas thou bugs can be present.

Polar is a simple, free tool created by a single individual and cannot provide the functions you're asking about. You can try more popular and established antivirus programs.

Fair enough, it also helps me/us to give you a little slack/understanding regarding what our exceptions should or shouldn't be about, and for Polar
Cheers

Adding an explanation and making changes to the file extension and encryption when isolating files
Encryption changes the file's hashing to ensure the encryption process is successful.
Its not a managed security agent/behaviourial blocker like CybeeAI. Which watches and intercepts zero day attacks your primary signature-based AV might miss.
I've considered this before and made allowing automation of all processes an option; it's beneficial and may prevent any malicious IP connections. It won't display firewall alerts so as not to bother you, and it's compatible with basic antivirus software because it doesn't block applications from connecting.
