The huge Chinese social media company has experienced phenomenal growth in the last three years. It's been downloaded more than two billion times.

But around the world, and not just in the US, TikTok is facing a backlash.

It's finding out the hard way that being international, a tech company, and Chinese isn't a great combination right now.

Better pick up the pace as in a few months he might just get banned himself.

Amazon asked employees to remove the popular social video-sharing app TikTok from their mobile devices on Friday, as first reported by The New York Times.

“Due to security risks, the TikTok app is no longer permitted on mobile devices that access Amazon email,” the company said in an email to employees Friday morning. “If you have TikTok on your device, you must remove it by 10-Jul to retain mobile access to Amazon email. At this time, using TikTok from your Amazon laptop browser is allowed.” The email was obtained and independently published by multiple reporters on Twitter.

China is a surveillance state along with having explicit worldwide industrial espionage programs. What does anyone expect ? Banning Chinese programs is a prescient move. What is more problematic is that every single device uses components from China, which at any given time, can have Chinese government directed implants. The potential for this sort of thing has been discussed since the 1970s.

Please separate the rhetoric and narrative of the Chinese people from the centrist Chinese government. Such measures are not anti-Chinese people.

The same can be said of the USA. Not even a majority of us support our surveillance state or the international politics of our leaders.

The US is not a surveillance state against its own people. You do not see US security forces showing up at peoples' doors and hauling them away to prison because they posted something anti-government or radical (such as BLM or Antifa) or anti-president on the internet. In China, that sort of thing happens daily.

But no one argue against this statement "All governments do dirt in one shape, form or another."

They don’t until they do, if you look the part and go to the right sites.
