I am trying PortableApps Launcher for the first time.
It gives quite a few options to install like Portable install, Current user install, All users install, etc...

Only single user on the system.
If I decide to install on the system then Current user install would be better, right?

This is a shared laptop & only I use portable apps. So should I go with portable install i.e portable install folder on the system or install it i.e installation on the system?

i used to create a folder called "Portable" in another drive than C and put all apps there ; i don't want my portables apps deleted when i reformat :D

I decided not to install portable apps launcher as portable apps doesn't have quite a few portables apps that I use so kind of not much use here.

Well really is, better do a manual download of portable application and make a folder which already an ease and less effort though. ;)

I have a folder named portable. I keep all the portable apps in this folder.
I have a folder named portable on desktop. I keep shortcut of all the portable apps in this folder.
This way easy & fast enough to use.

I have partitioned my drive into C & E. E is my data drive.
Can I keep my portable programs in E drive & programs shortcut on desktop?

Why would you want the portable versions of software when they're meant to be used on usb?
Some programs I use on the system but dont want to install. I dont need or use them travelling or other places. If I need them can always put them on USB. I use app 15-20 portable programs.

@yesnoo
  1. Move downloaded portable app(s) from main drive to another drive
  2. Right click on executable file
  3. Choose Send to => Desktop (create shortcut)
Now you can launch portable app from desktop. :)

Kardo
