On Sunday, the Kickstarter fundraising campaign for making a VLC app for Windows 8 exceeded its £40,000 goal. The app will also be developed for Windows RT and Windows Phone 8. With four days to go before the campaign officially ends, the team at VideoLAN have offered some extra features that might find its way into the Windows 8 version of VLC.
In a new update on its Kickstarter page, VideoLAN says that as long as some development money is left, they will work to put in new features after the first release of the Windows 8 VLC app, such as camera support. VideoLAN says, "This allows you to record anything your connected cameras can see and to stream it live where ever you like."
