I get it, we don't want people posting short stories on their walls, but there's a lot of times I'm trying to briefly explain something, and I'm often having to dumb down my post to get the full message through. Any possibility that we can extend the profile post character limit by, say, 50-75 characters? One concern may be that it'll clog up the right side of the screen on the MT homepage in the "new profile post" section. If that's the case, can there be a "continued in profile" hyperlink to avoid that?

Yeah, that's what I do. I was just throwing it out there so that I, and others, don't have to do that. Would it be possible to just increase the character limit of "reply" posts, to avoid having to deal with walls of text on the homepage? My life doesn't change either way, it's just something that's been on my mind.

I do feel bad when I have to spam profile posts to get out a thought. Any increase (at least in comments, not the initial post) would help immensely. Especially for those on the mobile site.

Well I agree for that concern, likely add a few characters for limit but still its up to the Administrator, considering that it must be simple yet full of thoughts as you post a status to avoid clogged up,
