Last night, Nvidia started to roll out the latest “Game Ready” drivers for its users, with version 375.86 coming through the GeForce Experience app and now available as a direct download. However, you’ll probably want to stay away from these drivers for now, as serious issues are being reported by users.

Every time there’s a major game release, Nvidia pushes out what it calls “Game Ready” drivers, designed to optimize user experience and ensure that gamers get the best graphics and frame rates from the get go. While that has, broadly speaking, worked well for the company and its clients, this release seems to be plagued with significant issues.

The new drivers were supposed to be optimized for Battlefield 1, Civilization VI and The Division, but users who have downloaded the GeForce 375.86 WHQL drivers have identified a number of show-stopping bugs. Some gamers are experiencing heavy flickering inside of games, and not just the titles that were targeted by this release. Another, even bigger issue, is that for some players the GPU clocks now seem to be stuck at 810 Mhz, vastly decreasing performance in all aspects of use.

Users who have been plagued by these problems seem to only be able to fix them by rolling back the driver to an older version.

This is the second time in a row that a driver release from Nvidia has come with problems for its users. Last month’s release brought Windows Start Menu issues, screen tearing and pixelated imageswhen users tried to view videos or gifs, and it took Nvidia two hotfixes to finally address the problem.

With such major issues coming just a few weeks later, it’s clear you might want to have your system set to manual updates and wait to see how drivers react before installing them.

And this is why I don't update my graphics drivers for about 1-2 weeks after they come out ;)

Nvidia at it again!!:rolleyes::rolleyes:
They should rename their releases as "Bork Ready" drivers:confused::p
Using customers as beta testers for broken releases is ridiculous.
The 373.06 driver which I'm using was probably the last "stable" version.

PC Master Race where are you now? You brag about how PC is better but quiet when it comes to borked driver updates. :D
PC is still the master race. All you do is not update drivers when you know a newer version is buggy. Simple.

Need to check your facts, it's PS4 Pro and mostly affects older PS4 games, except WD2 I think.
The Ps4 pro has a lot of problems with games like the "last of us remaster", overheating and many other problems. Consoles are not immune to problems, they are just like pc. So pc master race still applies :p And you I'll resume the list of advantages in one image:

PS4 Pro was recently released - expect problems - but firmware and software updates should resolve most issues, other unseen issues will unfold in due course.

Of course, PS/Xbox/Nintendo are and won't be the perfect solution just as Android and iOS are not either, but claiming PC (aka Windows) is better than the rest is complete rubbish.

As a Console Gamer, I respect others' choices for their preferred system and will not say "Consoles Are Better for the Living Room". But if you PC people treat Console and Mobile players unfairly, by thinking you're "better" than the rest, then you're no better than Internet Trolls.

@Exterminator Apologies to take topic off-topic, but threads like these are usually silenced by the PC community.

Okay, so I got the name wrong. But a newer PS4 running older PS4 games at a decreased performance is not factual? I'd say that's pretty borked.

Anyways, not the first time a driver update, or an OS update, or an update of any sort has caused a decrease in performance.

@Spawn You know the pc master race thing is just a joke that pc gamers made to show how more powerfull the pc is in comparison with consoles (Of course more powerful doesn't mean better). Both have pros and cons and everybody chooses what likes best.

The worse thing about PC gaming is that they get crappy "port overs" from console!!
Having said that, some genres are more applicable to be played on pc while others like the Fifa series and F1 games are more suited to console play!:)

Exactly this. I have a PS4 and I can agree that some games need that 360 control from the controller that you don't quite get with PC. The same way you don't get as accurate of an aim in FPS with a controller as you do with a mouse.

It's a new device, expect issues, read what I wrote above.

A joke "PC Gamers" use, it's Internet Trolling. Look around the web, in the comment sections on social media, then tell me again that All PC Gamers use as a joke?
I think not.

It's not trolling. It's something that is used to pick fun at people that play on systems other than PC. It's not meant to be malicious.

I mean, you get my point, right? The only time PC gamers make jokes about PC master race nowadays is when they get triggered by a console user purposely trying to trigger them.
