Tor promises secure communications, encrypted and anonymous, but the number of stakeholders to test the real ability of "anonymizing" to onion grows hand in hand with the identification of vulnerabilities and new attack vectors. Just recently, researchers say, to identify users who are also anonymous behind the veil of the darknet.
The new attack on Tor anonymity comes Princeton experts and is based on using a system called Raptor, a tool that promises to reveal the identity of users of darknet using methods other than those already used in the past.
